UCannaTu - Case Study
Thriving plants in veg and bloom.
We are so honored to be partnering with one of Oregon’s most dedicated medical cultivators – UCannaTu. For the past 15 years, Hawk Marsden, a former U.S. Marine and medical grower has been carefully breeding cannabis chemovars to treat specific conditions and challenges faced by military veterans and patients who suffer from chronic illness. He is a pioneer in breeding chemovars to treat specific illnesses and has empowers patients to grow their own medicine.
Hawk published a video-tour of his facility where he talks about his experience with The Sun On-Demand™ 7 weeks after installation took place.
One TSOD light vs eight HPS lights
As with many medical and craft quality cultivators, this facility operates with a limited electricity infrastructure and a tight budget. The Sun On-Demand™ reduces lighting amperage and costs by more than 60%, while optimizing the environment for landrace and other hard-to-grow medical chemovars. Below are some photos of the results:
Ten Grandaddy Purps mother plants under eight, 1000W HPS fixtures
Nine Grandaddy Purps mother plants under a single 1,100W The Sun On-Demand™ plasma light.
Using the horizontal beam as a reference, you can see that the plants under the plasma are already taller and bushier after only two weeks under the plasma light.
"Not only are the plants happy with it, but it seems like it’s helping to heal these plants."

UCannaTu has empowered 3,000+ medical patients and veterans to recover, heal and thrive. We are thrilled to have joined them on this journey to bring more medicine to help more patients with the power and knowledge of Mother Nature behind us.
“When your goal is to make medicine for sick patients, the stakes are just way higher. You can’t take shortcuts. It’s their health in your hands.”
